A visit to the shrines of the Central American Martyrs

...a time to form new relationships...an opportunity
to engage in cross-cultural solidarity...a learning...
...a commitment...an exchange...
...a spiritual journey...a discovery...

The Maryknoll Pilgrimage/Retreat to Central America is open to Bishops, Priests, Brothers, and Deacons.  Participants will visit the various sacred places where church people lived and worked, and where they were martyred in Central America.

Retreatants will have the opportunity of meeting and engaging in conversation with missioners, as well as local church people living and working in Central America, oftentimes in very challenging circumstances.

They will visit the graves of Blessed Archbishop Romero, Fr. Stan Rother, priest of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, Bishop Gerardi of Guatemala, the martyred Religious women, including two Maryknoll Sisters, the Jesuits and their companions, as well as others who gave their lives in witness to the Gospel.
